It doesn't seem to me that anyone on this board actually cares about the psychological aspects of taking thinly veiled shots at Jessica Alba. The idea of an extreme director such as Bill Zebub making a movie about Colleen Stan certainly does set the mind racing.... But I have to agree with John Galt and Ralphus, it seems on reflection to be like asking a fish to play a piano -- with all due respect to both the fish AND the piano. The only mainstream director out there who I think could Possibly pull it off might be Rob Zombie. Which movies were able to edge over into the graphic and still make money in theaters? And even those didn't go far enough by my current tastes.A Canadian: Lindsay Lohan in I Know Who Killed Me, Natalie Portman in Closer, and Mitzi Kapture in Angel III also qualified for my snarkiness, just to name three that immediately spring to mind.Agonized screams as a result of physical violence pretty much speaks for itself. Bill Zebub wrote: It doesn't seem to me that anyone on this board actually cares about the psychological aspects - is that true? I certainly worry about the frustration that is created when a film about a GIMP topic fails to live up to its potential.Bill, it sounds to me like you're selling out to The Man.He however drops his knife as Brittney tried to retrieve it with her foot after he's left the room.
(Of course, this is coming from a movie watcher who gets completely annoyed at movies about strippers starring actresses with no-nudity contract clauses.
So come to think of it, I really give a fuck about the "psychological aspects" of being a stripper. But I digress.) Big money will probably never fund anything but mainstream pablum.
That is not to say you couldn't push their boundaries and maybe get away with more than they would have initially allowed.
What happened to the Bill Zebub I used to know who would write long posts about the need to stay true to his artistic vision? If the Colleen Stan story has created an opportunity for you to go mainstream, you gotta take it.
It does make me wonder, though, why you posted your question on this forum, knowing the conservative (by our standards) restrictions you face from your new masters.
And to go even further, suspensions, inversions and plastic bag torture.
